First impression of NTU
It is very big and it has nice facilities. The environment was nice too, suitable for the students to study.

What did SST Students do well?
They paid attention during the plenary sessions and most people were engaged and took down notes. We were able to voice out our doubts too.

What can SST Students improve on?
We should ask better and more intelligent questions to help us understand better and we should also work on our punctuality.

(I) Plenary Session
(AM) key learning points from each session.

Importance of Water - Dirty and Clean
I have learnt that not all microbes are bad, and some are even useful to us. 1.1 billion people in the world does not have access t drinking water, so we have to come up with new ways for drinking water to reach the poorer countries. It was interesting that the flush toilets were available long time ago. Energy = Water, but the irony is that economic development may pull back water development.

Revolution of Microelectronics Technology
Research and development have been conducted to get better value products for the consumers. Microelectronics can be p= applied in a vast area, such as programmable blood and we might even be able to communicate via brainwaves in the future by implanting microchips in our brain.

Biomedical Engineering & Technology
Nano-tech is basically getting a larger surface area within the same space. Thus it s very useful since we can have a huge amount of energy from something veyr light and small too. There are natural nano applications in the world too like the shark's tooth. Even if it is small, if can rip huge things apart.

IT for Animation
3D animations costs much less than 2D animation as 2D animation requires much more labour cost. Mathematics concept is applied when producing movies too like, Geometry and Calculus.

Disappearing glaciers, rising sea levels, and why gravity is even more important than we think
Sea level rise would not be the same everywhere. Why is this important? We have to plan for the countries further away from the melting glaciers as based on the relative sea level and sea surface would affect more on the sea level further away from the melting glaciers.

(B) Deepest Impression...

The plenary session that left the deepest impression on me is
What I like about is

(II) My personal reflection

I choose this project because
My role in the group
Challenges we encountered and how we overcome these challenges
Through this project, I discovered
As an individual, how I have benefited from this programme
