Firstly, when we were guided into the Physics Lab, we were received with warm welcomes from Professor Sum and the facilitators. He explained to us further that the focus of the challenge was to find the difference between using a stopwatch and photogates to measure the time taken for the ball to travel a different distance, and see how different the methods used to measure is.

Another focus of this project, the main focus, is to find the length of the inclined plane where we released the ball, along with the angle of inclination. The objectives for this project is to find out how does the angle of inclination and the length of the inclined plane where we released the ball differs the speed, as, there is a competition for us to find the length of the inclined plane and the angle of inclination where the speed for the ball to travel is the fastest. Therefore, the competition and the prize also motivates us to work even harder.

Once we were at our workbench, we immediately started to differ the angles of inclination and started to time the time taken for the ball to travel the horizontal distance using the stopwatch. Then, we also started to change the length of the inclined plane where we released the ball, and released that the longer the inclined distance it is from the horizontal distance, the ball will travel faster. Then, after the teabreak, we had oil and we applied oil onto the ball, and its tracks. We started to measure the angle of inclination and the length of the inclined plane where we released the ball for the "oil" ball. Afterwards, we had a competition where every group had 3 times to drop the ball from the angle of inclination and the length of the inclined plane were we dropped the ball from. The group which had the ball which took the least time to travel the same distance will be the one who wins.

If we have a chance to do it again, we would try to differ it by angle of inclination first, with a fixed length where we released the ball from, so as to standardise the data we get.

However, we did not collect enough information and this graph is not very good.

### Our Accomplishments.

What is our end products/findings?

We found out the right way of measuring the angle, and the angle of inclination so as when the ball travels the fastest. We also found out that when we add oil to the tracks, the ball will roll slower then how it rolls without oil.

In the beginning, we actually measured the angle of inclination without knowing that there is a parallax error, therefore we redid it. Then, we found out that oil will slow the speed of the ball as the oil is sticky, therefore, the speed of the ball is slower.
